About Crypto What

This page was last checked on 2026-08-24 (0 days ago; within the 90-day review window). Anchoring proves existence and integrity, never correctness. Every number below is cited to the source list at the foot of the page.

Crypto What is published by an independent team that builds data and automation infrastructure. No individual is named on this site, and no client is named anywhere on it.

Why it exists

The domain was registered on 2018-10-25 for a business teaching people about cryptocurrency 1. That business never got built. The site sat unchanged from 2020 until 2026, and the page that promised an evaluation rubric to tell a business whether it was ready to accept cryptocurrency payments had no rubric behind it — only an invitation to get in touch 1.

The promise was better than the site. Six years later the decision it named is the one small businesses actually face, and the answer is publishable in full. So the domain now does the thing its old page said it did, for the version of the question that exists in 2026 2. Everything published here before this year has been retired, including a page that claimed industry-leading clients and named none.

What this site is not

It is not a payment processor and it takes no payments. It holds no accounts and issues no logins. It has no contact form, no mailing list, no advertising and no affiliate links, and it earns nothing from any decision a reader makes. It does not check tokens, addresses or transactions, and it will never ask a reader to paste one anywhere — fake checking tools are an active attack, and a site that asks for that input is indistinguishable from one.

It names payment processors and quotes their published terms. It has no relationship, commercial or otherwise, with any of them.

Disclaimers

Everything here is educational and informational. Nothing on this site is investment, tax, legal or accounting advice, and nothing on it is an offer or solicitation to buy or sell anything.

This site holds no licences of any kind. No one writing it is an investment adviser, a broker, a certified public accountant, a certified financial planner or an attorney, and no securities or broker registration is held with any federal or state authority.

Three questions are handed back rather than answered: tax and bookkeeping treatment goes to a certified public accountant, any decision about holding a balance goes to a licensed adviser, and anything about how a rule applies to a specific business in a specific place goes to an attorney. Those are boundaries on what this site does, not warnings attached to advice it gives anyway.

Anchoring, where it appears, proves that a piece of text existed on a date and has not been edited since. It proves nothing about whether the text is correct.

Dates and corrections

Every page carries a valid_as_of date, which is the date its content was last checked against its sources rather than the date the file was touched. Payment terms change and rules are mid-rulemaking; a page more than a few months past its date should be read as history.

Corrections go in the Register as new dated entries saying what changed and which entry it corrects. Nothing is quietly rewritten. This edition carries no contact address, so corrections are limited to what this team finds itself.
